Unbekannt Étant donnés' Back Door circa 2000

Jasper Johns According to What 1964
Many elements of According to What relate directly to Duchamp's rebus-like Tu m' (1918) and to The Green Box (1934), a facsimile publication of a selection of his notes for the iconic Large Glass (1915-23). Johns acquired a copy of The Green Box in 1960 and began keeping his own sketchbook notes soon thereafter.

Pablo Picasso Female Nude 1910
I seriously wonder if this 1910 painting by Picasso had some sort of effect on the creation of Duchamp's December 1911-January 1912 Nude Decending a Staircase paintings. Interestingly, all three paintings here mentioned ultimately became part of the Louise and Walter Arensberg Collection.

Francis Picabia Dances at the Spring Spring 1912
I seriously wonder if this spring 1912 painting by Picabia had some sort of effect on the creation of Duchamp's summer 1912 The Passage from Virgin to Bride and Bride paintings. Again, interestingly, all three paintings here mentioned ultimately became part of the Louise and Walter Arensberg Collection. Plus, it was during Duchamp's time in Munich that he attempted to act upon his love interest for Picabia's wife, Gabrièle Buffet-Picabia.

After a week in the Swedish capital, the Duchamps leave by train for Amsterdam [29.8.1961]. During his stay Duchamp was photographed by Lutfi Ozkok at the Moderna Museet with the team who built the replica of the Large Glass: Oscar Reutersward, Ulf Linde, Carlo Derkert and the director of the museum, Pontus Hulten. He has certified the Glass as a true copy, and also the replicas of Roue de Bicyclette [15.1.1916] and Fresh Widow [20.10.1920], which were all made for the Moderna Museet [16.5.1961].

On his way to spend three weeks in Monaco, which he loves for "its lack of mosquitoes and its architecture", Marcel stops to see his sister Suzanne and Jean Crotti. Built opposite Picabia's "Château de Mai" and shaded by old olive trees, the Crotti's house is styled "Minorange".
